I just checked irctc seat availability as I have to go to Mumbai for a meeting next week. I saw that seats are not available, and I will have to book under RAC or waiting list. Will there be any reduction in the fares if I book under any of these?

Ticket fares are the same whether you get the ticket confirmed, or under RAC or waiting list. If you book under RAC or waiting list, you will not get a berth unless cancellations are done. irctc seat availability
